Your adventure filled spring journey begins from North Dakota, and along the way you will see the Newport Aquarium and its exhibits, shows and galleries. You will also stop at the Heritage Farm Museum and Village, a Smithsonian Affiliation. The Farm includes a petting zoo, working saw mill, and Artisan Center, housing the Heritage Farm Artisan Guild. You will also be able to see Monticello, home of the author of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson, including the World Heritage Site, historic home and plantation, museum research institute and presidential library. In Richmond, you will go to the White House of the Confederacy, home to Jefferson Davis from 1861 until the evacuation of Richmond in 1865, serving as the political and social epicenter of wartime Richmond. Other sites include Colonial Williamsburg with its 100 gardens, unsurpassed décor and culinary delights, and the Jamestown Settlement and American Revolution Museum. You will go on a city tour of Washington, D.C., including the Smithsonian Institute. Rounding out the trip will be a historic walking tour of Philadelphia and stops at the National Constitution Center and Independence Hall, then a visit to Amish Country in Pennsylvania and Finally Gettysburg and the Flight 93 Memorial and Museum.
